Redwoods then Lakefront ride

ABILITY: Entry to Intermediate Level. Family friendly
Beginning from our shop you ride down past Huka Falls then join onto the Redwoods Track, riding beneath a beautiful canopy of Native Redwood trees. You then arrive at the top of the Control Gates Bridge hill where on a nice day you get unobstructed views of Lake Taupo & the Mountains to the South. Riding down the hill, turning right to the picturesque Taupo Boat Harbour, take the time to view some of the classic boats. Also located here is a Caravan converted into a Cafe which serves Coffee & Taupo's best Crepes & Toasted Sandwiches. Continuing the ride on the Lions Track which follows the Lake edge to 5 mile Bay. Take your togs as there is many stunning beaches to swim at throughout the ride. At 2 mile Bay is the Cove Cafe which is the last place to stop at for a refreshment.
You can continue al the way to 5 mile Bay or turn around at any point & either return to our shop near Huka Falls or our other shop location on the main street of Taupo.
It is recommended to ride an e bike on this ride for those people who don't ride a lot or don't have a reasonable level of fitness to cycling. It is a fantastic ride on a nice day taking in some of Taupo's best scenery.
Redwoods, Spa Track, Rotary Track Ride

DISTANCE: 17km
ABILITY: Intermediate Level
Beginning from our shop you ride down past Huka Falls then join onto the Rewoods Track, riding beneath a beautiful canopy of Native Redwood trees. You then arrive at the top of the Control Gates Bridge hill where on a nice day you get unobstructed views of Lake Taupo & the Mountains to the South. Riding down the hill, crossing the Waikato River you immediately turn Left & head North following the river, passing the Bungy where you may want to stop & watch people Bungying off the bridge or give it a go yourself. You then ride on to Spa Park & join the Rotary Track.
This is a nice single track passing through some native bush, Pine trees & some beautiful views of the Waikato River & the exclusive Huka Lodge. There is a few climbs on this track, therefore it is recommended to hire an e bike for this ride. You then cross the Huka Falls & proceed up the hill to our shop.
At the end of your ride is the Hub Cafe if you are in need of a Coffee or some Food.
